Our goal is to keep people living in warmth, safety, and independence, while helping to build better communities in Bergen County. Repairs may include:
Homeowner Application (applicant must live in Bergen County, own the home in which he/she resides, and meet HUD low-income guidelines listed below)
Community Building Application (for non-profit and community buildings in need of repair or renovation in order to better serve low-income seniors, veterans, or families with children)
What Our Homeowners Are Saying:
"The new windows, doors, and my new downstairs bedroom are a great help. And your people! Friendly, efficient, careful, and proud of their work. Your helping hand will prove critical in the years ahead." - Thomas W., Bogota
"Our home looks so much better and is safer and more energy efficient. My worries are fewer." - Donna L., Ridgewood
"My house repairs were efficient and done well, and the volunteers even cleaned and vacuumed the room." - Vivian D., Midland Park
Many of our neighbors have worked all their lives and have been physically and financially able to maintain their homes in good condition. Now, due to illness, aging, the loss of a spouse, or economic hardships, they are unable to physically or financially handle the repair work themselves. Their homes deteriorate or become unsafe. That's where Rebuilding Together Bergen County can help.
We make improvements that allow seniors to continue living independently in their own home. We help all our homeowners to live in safe, healthy surroundings while we build better communities in Bergen County.
