Our vision: “A safe and healthy home for every person”

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership across the country and has been a leader in the housing/nonprofit field since its founding in 1988.

Locally, we have completed more than 200 projects in 45 towns since our founding as an initiative of the Junior League in 1998. Work includes:

  • modifications for accessibility, mobility, and fall-prevention
  • energy-efficiency upgrades
  • improvements to plumbing, heating, and electrical
  • installation of smoke- and CO-detectors

Rebuilding Together’s mission is “bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need.”  Our volunteers include employees of our local and national corporate sponsors, members of faith-based or civic groups and organizations, as well as individuals from the community.  As part of a national affiliate network, we are committed to a shared mission that defines who we help and what we do on a daily basis.
